So Easy Pickled Red Onion

If you haven’t had pickled onions yet, this is great recipe to try. Delicious on burgers 🍔 or in salads!

Recipe:
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp whole black peppercorns
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
1 bay leaf

Steps:
In a small pot over high heat, combine the vinegar, water, peppercorns, salt, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil then remove from the heat.
Put the sliced onions in a medium bowl. Pour the hot liquid over the sliced onions. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Store in a an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!
