Black Cat Oreo Truffles
Ingredients:
- 36 Oreo cookies (classic, crushed finely)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, melted
- Black candy melts (optional, for darker coating)
- Candy eyes
- Mini chocolate chips (for ears)
- Licorice strings or black sprinkles (for whiskers)
- Pink heart sprinkles or colored candy (for noses)
Directions:
1. Make truffle base: Crush Oreos into fine crumbs. Mix with cream cheese until smooth. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray. Chill 1 hour.
2. Dip in chocolate: Melt chocolate (and black melts, if using). Dip chilled truffle balls into coating, letting excess drip off. Place back on tray to set.
3. Decorate cats: While coating is still soft, press in mini chocolate chips as ears. Add candy eyes, a pink sprinkle nose, and whiskers using small licorice pieces or black sprinkles.
4. Set: Chill until firm. Arrange on a platter for serving.
