Garlic Butter Steak Lightning Noodles
Ingredients:
For the Steak & Marinade:
1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
For the Noodles:
8 oz (225g) rice noodles or lo mein noodles
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
Marinate the Steak:
In a bowl, combine sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper.
Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
Cook the Noodles:
Boil water and cook noodles according to package instructions.
Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add marinated steak and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
Melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Stir in soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
Combine Everything:
Add cooked noodles and seared steak back to the skillet.
Toss everything together until well coated in the garlic butter sauce.
Stir in green onions and cook for 1–2 minutes.
Serve & Garnish:
Plate the noodles and top with sesame seeds.
Serve hot and enjoy!
