🥧🤎 Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie 🍫🌰
Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Stir in the pecan halves and chocolate chips.
Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden. If the edges brown too quickly, cover with foil halfway through.
Let the pie cool completely before slicing to allow it to set properly.
Serve & Tip:
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent Southern treat 🍦🥄
💡 For a deeper flavor, toast the pecans lightly before mixing them into the filling
