Loaded Beef Hoagie Sandwiches

Ingredients:

1 lb flank steak or ribeye, thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (any color)

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for extra umami)

4 hoagie buns, toasted

4 slices provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)

2 tbsp butter, for toasting buns

Instructions:

Prepare the Beef:
Season the thinly sliced beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Toss to coat evenly.

Cook the Vegetables:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, sautéing until they become soft and caramelized (about 10 minutes). Remove and set aside.

Cook the Beef:
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and cook the seasoned beef until browned, about 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally. For extra flavor, add soy sauce and let the beef absorb the sauce, creating a slight glaze.

Assemble the Sandwiches:
While the beef is cooking, butter and toast the hoagie buns until golden brown. Once toasted, layer a slice of provolone cheese on the bottom of each bun and let it melt slightly from the heat of the beef.

Fill the Buns:
Add a generous portion of the beef mixture, followed by the sautéed onions and peppers, filling each hoagie bun generously.

Serve:
Arrange the loaded beef hoagies on a plate or wooden board, serve immediately while hot and juicy. Optional: Add a drizzle of hot sauce or a dollop of creamy dressing for extra flavor.
