Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta 🍤🥩🍝
Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Begin by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside, reserving a little pasta water for later use.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and then the sirloin steak strips. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Next, add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove the cooked shrimp and set aside alongside the steak.
5. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually, allowing it to melt and create a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
6. Toss the cooked fettuccine into the skillet, coating it well with the Alfredo sauce. Add in the cherry tomatoes and mix until evenly distributed.
7. Finally, return the cooked shrimp and steak to the skillet, tossing everything gently to combine. Cook for another minute to warm through.
8. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
