🧀 Mozzarella-Stuffed Onion Rings with Garlic Butter
Ingredients:
2 large onions, sliced into rings
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil, for frying
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 garlic clove, minced
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare Onion Rings:
Separate onion slices into rings.
Carefully place a small amount of mozzarella cheese inside each onion ring, pressing gently to fill.
2️⃣ Bread the Rings:
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls:
Bowl 1: flour mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Bowl 2: beaten egg.
Bowl 3: breadcrumbs.
Dip each stuffed onion ring into the flour, followed by the egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
3️⃣ Fry the Rings:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the onion rings in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
4️⃣ Make Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic. Stir well.
5️⃣ Serve:
Drizzle garlic butter over the fried mozzarella-stuffed onion rings and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve immediately.
