Apple Caramel Bombs
Ingredients:
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 8 caramel candies
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 medium apples, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional Topping:
- Caramel sauce (drizzle)
- Crushed peanuts
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
3. Add the finely chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes until the apples are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. Unroll the refrigerated biscuit dough and separate into individual biscuits.
5. Flatten each biscuit into a circle using your hands or a rolling pin.
6. Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit.
7. Top the apple mixture with one caramel candy.
8. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges together to seal tightly and form a ball.
9. Place the filled dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
10. Brush each ball with the melted butter to give a golden finish.
11. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
12. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
13. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle crushed peanuts on top if desired before serving.

Tips:
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a nice balance against the sweetness of caramel.
Make sure to seal the dough edges tightly to prevent caramel from leaking during baking.
