Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Roasted coffee beans for garnish
Preparation Steps:
* Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
* In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
* Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
* Carefully stir in the hot brewed coffee (the batter will be thin).
* Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
* Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
* Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
* While cakes cool, prepare the cream cheese filling: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
* Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
* Prepare the caramel sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
* Increase heat to medium-high and boil without stirring until the syrup turns a deep amber color. Do not burn.
* Carefully and slowly pour the warmed heavy cream into the hot caramel (it will bubble vigorously). Stir until smooth.

* Once cakes are completely cool, level the tops if necessary. Slice each cake horizontally to create four thinner layers.
* Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese filling.
* Drizzle some cooled caramel sauce over the filling.
* Repeat with the remaining cake layers, filling, and caramel, ending with the top cake layer.
* For the whipped topping: In a cold bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
* Pipe or spoon whipped topping onto the top of the cake slice.
* Drizzle with more caramel sauce and garnish with a few roasted coffee beans.
