Beef Chow Mein
Ingredients:
1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1 cup bean sprouts
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
1 cup snow peas
1 small onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces chow mein noodles
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.

Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the carrots, bell peppers, snow peas, and bean sprouts. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Return the beef to the skillet, add the cooked chow mein noodles, and toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
