Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo Recipe 🍣🍤
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 pound fresh salmon fillets
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Begin by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Make sure to salt the water well to enhance the pasta's flavor. Once cooked, drain it and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
3. Next, add the fresh salmon fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is fully cooked and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are opaque. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside alongside the salmon.
5. Reduce the heat to low and pour the heavy cream into the skillet, stirring gently to combine any flavors left in the pan. Allow the cream to warm through, then gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
6. Squeeze in the lemon juice and season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
7. Flake the cooked salmon into bite-sized pieces and return both the flaked salmon and cooked shrimp to the cream sauce. Gently fold them in, ensuring they are evenly coated with the luscious Alfredo sauce.
8. Finally, add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing everything together in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
9. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor. Enjoy your delicious Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo!
