🇮🇹 Sarde in Saor (Sweet and Sour Sardines)
Venetian-style sardines marinated with onions, raisins, and vinegar.
Ingredients:
• 500 g fresh sardines, cleaned
• 2 onions, thinly sliced
• 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
• 2 tbsp raisins
• 1 tbsp pine nuts
• Flour for dusting
• Olive oil for frying
• Salt and pepper
Instructions:
🐟 Lightly flour sardines and fry in olive oil until crispy. Set aside.
🧅 Sauté onions in a pan until golden. Add vinegar, raisins, and pine nuts.
🍋 Layer sardines and onion mixture in a dish.
❄️ Marinate in the fridge for 24 hours before serving.
