Pierogi Crock Pot
Ingredients:
- 1 package (16 oz) frozen pierogies
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sliced kielbasa or sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Layer Ingredients: Place the frozen pierogies in the crock pot. Add sliced kielbasa, chopped onions, and bell peppers over the pierogies.
2. Add Broth: Pour chicken or vegetable broth over the mixture.
3. Cheese and Butter: Top with shredded cheddar cheese and dot with butter.
4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for about 3-4 hours, or until the pierogies are heated through and the cheese is melted.
5. Finish with Sour Cream: Stir in the sour cream, mixing until well combined.
6. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
