Whole Wheat Rewena Bread 🌾🥔
A healthier version with a hearty, nutty flavor.
Ingredients:
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup warm water
2 cups whole wheat flour + 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon honey (instead of sugar)
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet dry yeast
Method:
1️⃣ Starter Prep – Combine mashed potatoes and warm water; let sit for a few hours.
2️⃣ Mix & Knead – Add whole wheat flour, honey, salt, and yeast. Knead well.
3️⃣ Rise Time – Cover and let rise for 1 hour 30 minutes.
4️⃣ Shape & Bake – Form a loaf and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes.
5️⃣ Cool & Enjoy – Let rest, then slice and enjoy with butter or jam.
