A rich, fragrant cake from Genoa filled with raisins, pine nuts, and candied fruit.

Ingredients:
• 300g flour
• 120g sugar
• 100g butter, softened
• 2 eggs
• 100g raisins
• 50g pine nuts
• 50g candied orange peel, chopped
• 1 tsp baking powder
• Zest of 1 lemon
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs and vanilla.
3. Stir in zest, raisins, pine nuts, and orange peel.
4. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until you get a thick dough.
5. Shape into a dome, place on a baking tray, and bake for 45–50 minutes.
6. Cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
