Soulful Grilled Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
For the Marinade:
2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes & flats)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 tbsp hot sauce (your favorite brand)
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat evenly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for extra flavor).
Grill the Chicken:
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).
Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Place the chicken wings on the grill and cook for about 20–25 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the wings are golden brown and crispy with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
