Honey-Glazed Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon Recipe 🍒
🍴 Ingredients:
For the Brussels Sprouts:
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Honey Glaze:
4 slices bacon , chopped
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or balsamic vinegar for extra tang)
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for depth)
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Optional Garnish:
Chopped parsley or thyme (for freshness)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Roast the Brussels Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Spread the sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side down.
Roast for 20–25 minutes , flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy around the edges.
Step 3: Cook the Bacon
While the sprouts roast, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the rendered bacon fat in the pan.
Step 4: Make the Honey Glaze
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, whisk together the honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard (if using), and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the glaze thickens slightly.
Step 5: Combine & Finish
Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, transfer them to a large bowl.
Drizzle the honey glaze over the sprouts and toss gently to coat.
Stir in the crispy bacon bits, reserving a small amount for garnish if desired.
Step 6: Serve
Transfer to a serving platter or bowl. Garnish with reserved bacon bits and chopped parsley or thyme for a fresh finish.
