Chili Cheese Dog Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 hot dog buns
4 all-beef hot dogs
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting buns)
1 cup chili (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup diced red onion (optional)
2 tablespoons yellow mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook hot dogs until browned and heated through, about 5–7 minutes.
In a separate small saucepan, warm up the chili until hot and bubbly.
Lightly butter the hot dog buns and toast them on a skillet or grill until golden brown.
Place each hot dog in a toasted bun. Spoon a generous amount of chili over the top.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt slightly from the heat.
Top with diced onions and a drizzle of mustard if desired. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives. Serve warm!
