Simple Sweet & Salty Treat Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Almonds 😋

Ingredients:
2 cups / 280g whole raw almonds
8 oz / 225g good quality dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao), chopped
1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for gloss)
Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Directions:
1. If desired, lightly toast the almonds for enhanced flavor. Spread them on a baking sheet and toast at 350°F (175°C) for 7-10 minutes until fragrant. Let cool completely.
2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
3. Melt the dark chocolate. You can use a double boiler (place chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring until smooth) or microwave (heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth).
4. If using coconut oil for extra gloss, stir it into the melted chocolate until combined.
5. Add the cooled toasted almonds to the melted chocolate. Stir gently until all the almonds are fully coated.
6. Drop spoonfuls of the chocolate-coated almond mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small clusters. Aim for 3-5 almonds per cluster.
7. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle each cluster generously with flaky sea salt.
8. Let the clusters sit at room temperature until the chocolate is completely set (about 1-2 hours), or speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
9. Once set, gently remove the clusters from the parchment paper.
10. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
