Crème Brûlée Turkey Melt
Ingredients:
2 slices of sourdough bread
4 ounces of cooked turkey breast, sliced
2 ounces of cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon of honey
1/4 cup of shredded Swiss cheese
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

1. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and honey until well combined.
2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
3. Layer the sliced turkey on top of the cream cheese spread on one slice of bread.
4. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the turkey, then top with the second slice of bread, cream cheese side down.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, place the sandwich in the skillet.
6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
7. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and place it on a baking sheet.
8. Sprinkle the granulated sugar evenly over the top of the sandwich.
9. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it forms a crispy, golden crust. If you don’t have a torch, you can place the sandwich under a broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
10. Let the sandwich cool for a minute, then slice in half and garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired.
