Cajun Fried Gizzards
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken gizzards
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Prep Gizzards: Clean and trim the chicken gizzards. Soak them in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
2. Coat Gizzards: In a bowl, mix flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge the gizzards in the flour mixture.
3. Heat Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
4. Fry Gizzards: Fry the gizzards in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
5. Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
