Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce – A Dinner Worth Savoring 🍷🧄

Ingredients 🛒
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8 oz each)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
(Optional: fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish)
Directions 🍴
1. Season the Steaks:
Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
2. Sear the Steaks:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your preferred doneness (125°F for rare, 135°F for medium rare).
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
3. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
4. Combine and Heat Through:
Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for 1–2 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld.
5. Serve:
Plate the steaks and drizzle with extra sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
