Pork Loin in BBQ Sauce with a Twist of Orange
Ingredients:
2 lbs (900g) pork loin
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tbsp orange zest
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Marinade:
In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, orange juice, orange zest, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Sear the Pork Loin:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the pork loin on all sides until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Cook the Pork:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the pork loin in a baking dish and brush generously with the BBQ-orange sauce.
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Rest & Serve:
Let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Drizzle with extra sauce and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro.
