Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1½ cups chocolate chips
Pink, blue, yellow, and purple gel food coloring
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Divide dough evenly into 4 bowls and tint each with a different food coloring.
Pinch off small pieces of each color and gently roll together to form a colorful dough ball.
Place on baking sheet and flatten slightly. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
