Ingredients:
- 1 (16 oz) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- Holiday sprinkles (optional, for color)
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional, for extra flavor)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Additional holiday sprinkles (for topping)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the springform pan to form the crust.
3. If desired, sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the crust for festive color.
4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
6. Blend in the sour cream, vanilla extract, and almond extract until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
7. Pour the cheesecake filling over the sugar cookie crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
9. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
10. Before serving, top with whipped cream and additional holiday sprinkles for a festive touch.
