Apple Crisp Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 dough for a single-crust pie
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 medium baking apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
Topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping or caramel apple dip
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Roll out the pie dough onto a pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a crust about 1/4 inch thick.
3. In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon for the apple filling.
4. Toss the apple slices with the sugar mixture until evenly coated.
5. Arrange the apple slices evenly over the crust.
6. In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon for the topping.
7. Cut in the softened butter with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture is crumbly.
8. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
9. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
10. Remove from oven and drizzle with caramel ice cream topping or caramel apple dip.
11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
