Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Bake Brownies: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish as directed on the brownie mix box. Bake according to package instructions and let cool completely.
2. Make Chocolate Silk Layer: Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in melted chocolate and vanilla until smooth.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating for 3 minutes after each addition.
4. Whip Cream: In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
6. Assemble the Brownies: Spread the chocolate silk mixture evenly over the cooled brownies. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving. This allows the silk layer to set properly.
