Creamy French Onion Beef Tortellini Skillet
Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup beef broth
1/4 cup dry sherry (optional, can substitute with extra broth)
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 (9 ounce) package cheese tortellini
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, sherry (if using), heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, thyme, and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Add tortellini and cook according to package directions, or until heated through and tender. Stir in Gruyere cheese and parsley. Serve immediately.
