- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 Large Onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Gruyere Cheese, grated
- 2 Eggs
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Caramelize onions: Cook onions in butter and oil over medium heat for 20-25 minutes until golden.
3. Add broth: Pour in beef broth and reduce by half, then let onions cool.
4. Mix meatloaf: In a bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, cheese, eggs, garlic, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, and pepper.
5. Incorporate onions: Stir cooled onions into the meat mixture.
