Spicy Garlic Butter Steak Pasta with Creamy Velveeta Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch strips
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (or more, to taste!)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite shape)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. While pasta cooks, season steak strips with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness (about 5-7 minutes). Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
4. Stir in butter until melted. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
5. Reduce heat to low and add cubed Velveeta cheese and milk. Stir until cheese is completely melted and sauce is smooth and creamy. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
6. Add cooked pasta and steak strips to the sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
