Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
8 large slices of deli ham
8 slices of Swiss or mozzarella cheese
8 lasagna sheets (boiled until soft)
2 cups béchamel sauce (white sauce)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
1 tsp dried Italian herbs
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Prepare the Roll-Ups:
Place a lasagna sheet on a clean surface.
Layer one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on top.
Roll the sheet tightly into a log. Repeat with the remaining sheets, ham, and cheese.
3. Assemble in the Baking Dish:
Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Arrange the roll-ups seam side down in the dish.
4. Add the Toppings:
Pour the remaining béchamel sauce over the roll-ups.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and Italian herbs on top.
5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
6. Serve:
Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
