Homemade Focaccia Barese Recipe 🇮🇹🥖
A crispy and fluffy focaccia from Bari, topped with tomatoes, olives, and oregano! 🍅🫒
Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour (250g)
• 1/2 cup semolina flour (60g)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 1/2 cup warm water (120ml)
• 1 tsp yeast
• 2 tbsp olive oil (30ml)
• 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
• 1/4 cup black olives (30g)
• 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions:
Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar, let sit for 5 minutes.
Combine flours, salt, and olive oil, then add yeast mixture.
Knead until smooth, let rise for 1 hour.
Press dough into a baking pan, top with tomatoes and olives.
Sprinkle with oregano and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes.
Serve warm with more olive oil!
