Creamy Garlic Chicken with Broccoli Orzo
Savory Creamy Chicken with Garlic and Orzo Broccoli Medley
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup orzo pasta
2 cups fresh broccoli florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth (low sodium)
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the orzo pasta to the skillet and toast for about 2 minutes. Slowly pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook the orzo for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it absorbs most of the liquid.
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, mixing until a creamy sauce forms. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, cover, and let steam for 4-5 minutes until tender.
Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, mixing it with the creamy orzo and broccoli. Serve warm and enjoy!
