Matcha Cake Recipe π°π΅
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour πΎ
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar π¬
2 tbsp matcha powder (sifted) π΅
1/2 cup (120ml) milk π₯
1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil πΏ
3 large eggs π₯π₯π₯
1 tsp baking powder π°
A pinch of salt π§
For the Whipped Cream Frosting:
1 cup (240ml) heavy cream π¦
2 tbsp powdered sugar π
1 tsp vanilla extract π¨
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper π§π.
Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt πΎπ΅.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy π₯π¬.
Gradually mix in the milk and vegetable oil π₯πΏ.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined π.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top π§.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean π΄.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely π¬οΈ.
Prepare the Whipped Cream Frosting:
