🥞 Cinnamon-Roll French-Toast Roll Ups 🍯
Ingredients
10 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
(Optional for serving: powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh fruit)
Instructions
Prep the bread.
Remove crusts from each slice. Use a rolling pin to flatten the slices into thin squares.
Make the cinnamon filling.
In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, and the 2 tablespoons of cinnamon until you have a spreadable paste.
Spread & roll.
Spread a thin layer of the cinnamon mixture over each flattened bread slice. Roll each slice tightly from one edge to the other into a log.
Prepare the French-toast batter.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
Cook the roll ups.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it (butter or spray).
Dip each roll in the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, then place seam side down on the skillet. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, rotating to brown evenly.
Serve warm.
Arrange on a plate. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
