Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
1 large French baguette or Italian loaf, sliced in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
8 oz ribeye steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers for about 5 minutes until soft.
Add thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet and cook for another 5–7 minutes, until browned.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1–2 more minutes and then remove from heat.
In a small bowl, combine softened butter and minced garlic. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
Place the bread halves on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Evenly distribute the cooked steak and pepper mixture over the bread.
Top with mozzarella and provolone cheeses.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes if desired to get a golden top.
Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley, slice, and serve warm.
