🍫 Oreo Mud Pie 🍦
Ingredients
For the Crust:
2 cups finely crushed Oreo cookies (about 24 cookies)
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling:
3 cups whole milk
2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Assembly:
Additional whipped topping, for garnish
Crushed Oreos, for sprinkling
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter until well blended. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Chill the crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Pudding
In a large bowl, whisk the milk and instant chocolate pudding mix together according to package directions. Allow the pudding to thicken for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Assemble the Pie
Once the pudding has thickened, fold in the thawed whipped topping, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and vanilla extract until everything is fully combined. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared Oreo crust.
Step 4: Chill the Pie
Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the pie to set.
