Ingredients:
🧀 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
🧈 4 tbsp unsalted butter, cold & cubed
🌾 ¾ cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat for a nuttier flavor)
🧂 ½ tsp salt
🥛 2 tbsp ice-cold water
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Make the Dough:
In a food processor, blend cheese, butter, flour, and salt until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add cold water, 1 tbsp at a time, until the dough comes together.
2️⃣ Chill:
Shape dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3️⃣ Roll & Cut:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll dough very thin (~⅛ inch) on a floured surface.
Cut into 1-inch squares using a knife or pizza cutter.
Use a toothpick to poke a hole in the center of each square.
4️⃣ Bake:
Place crackers on a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until crisp and golden.
Let cool completely for maximum crunch!
