Creamy Garlic Sauce Steak
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 tsp dried)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Season steaks generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steaks for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Add 1 tbsp butter to the pan during the last minute of cooking.
Remove steaks from the skillet and let rest while you make the sauce.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Pour the creamy garlic sauce over the rested steaks and serve hot.
