Lemon Cream Cheese Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter, cream cheese, and sugar together until creamy and smooth.
4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Mix in sour cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until combined.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow bread to cool in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
