Homemade Asian Style Plum Sauce
This sauce is sweet and tangy. Serve warm or cold with egg rolls, fried pork, or chicken or seafood.
Recipe:
10 red plums, pitted and cubed
4 garlic cloves grated
2 inches size ginger grated
1/4 cup red onions finely diced
3 tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
Steps:
In a saucepan, mix all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Simmer for about 15 minutes in low heat, stirring occasionally to avoid burning at the bottom. Remove from stove. Let it cool to room temperature. Blend in food processor till sauce consistency. Store in refrigerator for a week or in freezer up to 3 months. Enjoy!
