- ΒΌ cup nutritional yeast (20 grams)
- 2 tablespoons tapioca starch (15 grams)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (30 ml)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for frying (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5 grams)
- Β½ teaspoon garlic powder (1 gram)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (such as mint, dill, or oregano)
directions:
1. Cut the pressed tofu into Β½-inch thick slices.
2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the nutritional yeast, tapioca starch, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and garlic powder.
3. Dredge each tofu slice in the mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
4. Heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
