Easter Bunny Button Cookies ๐ฐ๐ธ
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup pastel-colored jam (strawberry, raspberry, or apricot)
1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla extract, then gradually add the flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Use the back of a spoon or your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
Fill each indentation with a small amount of pastel-colored jam.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool, then dust with powdered sugar for an extra sweet touch.
