🇫🇷 Coq au Vin (Chicken in Red Wine) 🍷🍗
Tender chicken stewed in red wine with mushrooms and vegetables—comfort food the French way.
📝 Ingredients:
• 4 chicken thighs
• 2 cups red wine
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 cup pearl onions
• 1 cup carrots, sliced
• 1 cup mushrooms
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 2 tbsp flour
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• Salt and pepper
• Fresh thyme and parsley
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Brown chicken in olive oil and remove.
2️⃣ Sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and pearl onions.
3️⃣ Stir in tomato paste and flour.
4️⃣ Add wine and bring to a boil.
5️⃣ Return chicken to the pot, add thyme, and simmer for 1 hour.
6️⃣ Add mushrooms in the last 15 minutes.
7️⃣ Garnish with parsley and serve with crusty bread.
