Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
3. While macaroni is cooking, brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
4. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
5. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato soup, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
6. Stir in cooked and crumbled bacon.
7. In a large bowl, combine cooked macaroni and the meat sauce. Stir well to coat the pasta evenly.
8. Pour the macaroni and meat sauce mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the pasta is heated through.
11. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
