🌈 Easy Homemade Slime 🧪
🧪 Ingredients
For the Basic Slime:
8 oz (1 cup) Elmer's white school glue
1 tbsp baking soda
1½–2 tbsp contact lens saline solution (must contain boric acid or sodium borate)
Food coloring (optional)
Optional Add-ins:
Glitter
Scented oils (like lavender or vanilla)
Mini styrofoam balls or confetti
Sequins or small beads
🔬 Instructions
Step 1: Mix Glue & Baking Soda
In a plastic bowl, pour the entire bottle of glue.
If using food coloring, add a few drops and stir until fully blended.
Stir in 1 tablespoon of baking soda until evenly mixed.
Step 2: Add Saline Solution
Pour in 1½ tablespoons of saline solution.
Stir quickly as the slime begins to thicken and pull away from the sides of the bowl.
If still sticky, add more saline solution ½ tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Step 3: Knead the Slime
Use clean hands to knead the slime for several minutes.
Keep working it until it becomes smooth, stretchy, and no longer sticky.
Step 4: Store & Play
Place slime in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
Store in the fridge when not in use to extend its life.
Play on a plastic tablecloth or place mat to keep surfaces clean.
