For the Basic Slime:
8 oz (1 cup) Elmer's white school glue
1 tbsp baking soda
1ยฝโ€“2 tbsp contact lens saline solution (must contain boric acid or sodium borate)
Food coloring (optional)
Optional Add-ins:
Glitter
Scented oils (like lavender or vanilla)
Mini styrofoam balls or confetti
Sequins or small beads

Step 1: Mix Glue & Baking Soda
In a plastic bowl, pour the entire bottle of glue.
If using food coloring, add a few drops and stir until fully blended.
Stir in 1 tablespoon of baking soda until evenly mixed.
Step 2: Add Saline Solution
Pour in 1ยฝ tablespoons of saline solution.
Stir quickly as the slime begins to thicken and pull away from the sides of the bowl.
If still sticky, add more saline solution ยฝ tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Step 3: Knead the Slime
Use clean hands to knead the slime for several minutes.
Keep working it until it becomes smooth, stretchy, and no longer sticky.
Step 4: Store & Play
Place slime in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
Store in the fridge when not in use to extend its life.
Play on a plastic tablecloth or place mat to keep surfaces clean.
