๐ณ๐ฅ Biscuits & Gravy with Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole ๐งโจ
Flaky biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, fluffy eggs, and gooey cheese all baked into one heavenly breakfast casserole! The ultimate comfort food for weekends, holidays, or meal prep. ๐โค๏ธ
๐ Ingredients:
โ 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
โ 1 lb breakfast sausage
โ 2 tbsp butter
โ 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
โ 2 cups milk
โ 6 eggs
โ ยฝ cup heavy cream
โ 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
โ ยฝ tsp garlic powder
โ ยฝ tsp onion powder
โ Salt & pepper to taste
๐ฉโ๐ณ Directions:
1๏ธโฃ Preheat oven to 350ยฐF and grease a baking dish.
2๏ธโฃ Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
3๏ธโฃ In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour. Slowly add milk, whisking until thickened. Season with salt & pepper and return sausage to the gravy.
4๏ธโฃ Cut biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly in the baking dish.
5๏ธโฃ In a bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper. Pour over the biscuits.
6๏ธโฃ Sprinkle with cheese and pour sausage gravy over the top.
7๏ธโฃ Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
