Chicken & Bell Pepper Pizza
Ingredients:
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup pizza sauce (preferably homemade or your favorite brand)
1 cup roasted chicken, diced
1/2 cup yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup orange bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornmeal, for dusting the pizza peel
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven as well to get a crispy crust.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it reaches your desired thickness. For extra crispiness, dust your pizza peel or baking sheet with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil. Spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over the surface.
Scatter the roasted chicken evenly across the pizza. Add the bell peppers and cherry tomatoes, ensuring the toppings are spread out for every bite.
Tear pieces of mozzarella cheese and distribute them generously over the pizza. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden-brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves on top. Slice and serve hot, enjoying the gooey cheese, vibrant veggies, and juicy roasted chicken.
