Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti
Ingredients:
12 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
Cook the Spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat if needed. Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Cream Cheese Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Casserole:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the cream cheese mixture until well coated. Spread the spaghetti evenly in the prepared baking dish. Pour the meat sauce over the top, spreading it out evenly.
Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top of the sauce.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
