Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce
This indulgent dish combines tender steaks with a rich, creamy Cajun shrimp sauce that’s bursting with flavor. Perfect for a special dinner or when you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary.
Ingredients:
- 4 steaks (ribeye or filet mignon)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Start by seasoning the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Next, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, sear the steaks for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook it for about 1 minute, allowing it to become fragrant and flavorful.
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, flipping them until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning. Stir the mixture together and let it cook for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
To serve, place the cooked steaks on individual plates. Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce generously over the steaks and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
This recipe takes approximately 10 minutes to prep and 25 minutes to cook, making it a total of 35 minutes from start to finish. It serves 4 people. Enjoy a rich, flavorful meal that’s perfect for any occasion.
